A black man is seen as nothing, right? Wrong, a black man is seen as a get out of jail free card if he is the victim of a crime as well as a jail entry card or a death chair recipient if he has committed a crime. Sean Bell is all of us; A person who is a MINORITY that HAS BEEN DISCRIMINATED AGAINST, SEEN AS NOTHING BUT HAS REMARKABLE POTENTIAL
We are seen as statistics that are never going to stand up for shii because we are too involved in stuff that does not matter. It is true we as African Americans and other minorities have made vast strides in life but that was in the past. What are we going to do now, another life has been taking. If WE DONT CARE, WHO ELSE WILL CARE...? STAND UP FOR SOMETHING OR DIE over materialistic bull shii. Please recall that we can no longer be blown over with water hoses, or beat for speaking the truth…so why are we so silent??? Speak out, protest, and let me hear you shout, damn. If you do not you are feeding into the stereotypes that we never take a stand. Voting is great…but why stop there?
